Course
Course 7.5 credits • CÖSM34
In this course we offer an interdisciplinary study of key theories of socioeconomic development in present-day Asia.
Since the middle of the twentieth century, Asian countries have been at the forefront of developmental revolutions, making the region a perfect lens for analysing and understanding the emergence of our current global development system.
We adopt a critical approach to development theory and practice, providing you with tools to theoretically analyse, discuss, and debate contemporary development issues—linking historical legacies with future challenges.
