Human Rights Lunch Online: Human Rights and Socio-economic ineqality
Human Rights Lunch Online is a digital meeting place initiated by the Lund University Human Rights Profile Area. During Human Rights Lunch Online members from the profile area present their ongoing research and you can enjoy your lunch while getting new insights from the field of human rights research.
Emelie Rohne Till, Department of Economic History, will present a research plan for a project on the relationship between socio-economic inequality and human rights. Key questions in the project: are there any trade-offs between equality and respect for human rights in certain cases and certain phases; and if so, what these trade-offs and links might look like. The project will aim to build up a large database of quantitative indicators of relevance for understanding the interplay between inequality and human rights. The discussion is moderated by Martin Andersson, assistant coordinator in the Human Rights Profile Area.
